Eccentrogue n.

1. Contraction of “eccentric” and “rogue”.
Howard Hughes: the ultimate eccentrogue. Unless of course you count Henry VIII.

2. A suspicious smelling Etrog (citron or fruit-like thing used by Jews on the festival of Sukkot).

Dear Sirs,

I am quite offended at your wanton use of the name Schplog. While the family has come into decline of late, my ancestors were a proud tribe. Why, there were Shplogs on the good ship Santa Maria when she landed at Hispaniola. And it’s family legend that Abraham Lincoln was, himself, part schplog.

Harrumph!!!

Scruff Tiddlywinks (nee Schplog)

I’ve always thought that Howard Hughes had a lot of eccentrique (eccentric + mystique).

But now I’m also starting to think that some concerned citizens are taking this site way too seriously.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?
